Experience covers supply-demand studies for most types of land uses and real estate products, ranging from residential, retail, office, industrial and hospitality uses in Canada and USA. Retained by developers, major landowners, municipalities, and government agencies to identify housing needs and demands, retail merchandising mix, office demand and industrial demand in a municipality or a region.

Market and Financial Feasibility Analysis

Experience includes market research and financial feasibility analysis for landowners, developers and municipalities investigating the highest and best use for development sites and viability of investment proposals. Also, includes economic modeling work to identify development threshold and maximum allowable FAR for mixed-use and transit-oriented development sites.  

Real estate sales and leasing

As the managing broker of a real estate brokerage company, I am involved in the sale and leasing of commercial properties in the Greater Vancouver Region.

Property Assessment Appeal

Since 2017, assisted Mr Peter Austin as a Candidate AACI in the review of several property assessments each year. My involvement in the assessment appeal process includes market research, assessment reviews, appeals, negotiations with BC Assessment and attending Appeal Board hearings. 

Appraisals

Since 2017, assisted Mr Peter Austin as a Candidate AACI in appraising most types of real property, including vacant land, retail property, multi-family property, office and industrial property in British Columbia. 

Research

Worked on several real estate and urban economics research topics, during the PhD program, such as subprime lending, fair lending laws, use of technology in mortgage underwriting and servicing, role of secondary mortgage market and housing wealth and financial wealth effects.

Atchitecture and Urban Design

I worked in several architectural firms such as Concepts, Interface Inc. and Nihar Raina & Associates before establishing a full service architectural firm, Aeon, in 1998, in New Delhi India. During this period, I designed several single-family, multifamily, office, retail, infrastructure, landscape and interior design projects. 

Housing Needs Analysis

Conducted several housing needs and demand studies and housing policy related studies. I waswas the lead consultant on Housing Needs assessment for the City of Penticton, Housing Action Plan for the District of Fort St. James as well as the Housing Options Analysis for the City of Richmond
